Snuff Labb

Snuff Labb is a place where puppets, humans, artists, art forms, ideas, fantasies and obsessions collide and new possibilities manifest; where fresh pathways are discovered and free expression flows.

Snuff Labbs began in 2011 as capacity-building development programs to train artists, bring in international expertise and provide much-needed pathways into our art form.

They have resulted in small private events to big outdoor spectacles, but all have in common the open sharing of ideas, the cross-pollination of artforms and the free exchange of skills.

Participants receive professional development, hands-on experience with our methods and materials, and deep connection with a network of peers; while as a company we benefit by interrogating our processes, inviting outside inspiration, producing original work with new collaborators and increasing our artist pool.

Previous artists-in-residence include Stefanie Oberhoff (Stuttgart), Rebecca Rutter (Melbourne/Bristol) and Riyo Harada (Osaka/Tokyo).
