Entry

  • Front door faces Barkly St with doorbell on right side of door frame
  • Front door has one small step (no ramp)
  • During public events; main entry is via side carpark door with wheelchair ramp (4 inches high), this entry can also be used anytime
  • Assistance animals welcome

 

Transport

  • Train: West Footscray station (550m), Footscray station (1.4km) 
  • Bus: Route 220 stops directly next door (15m), Routes 216 & 410 stop on nearby Gordon St (75m)
  • Bike: Bike parking next to carpark
  • Taxi/Rideshare: Can drop off directly in front.
  • Car:  Limited street parking in area. During public events our carpark directly outside the entrance is reserved for Disabled Parking Pass holders only. Accessible parking bay is about 10 metres from the entry. There are about 100 free car parking spots at Whitten Oval carpark 150m west (brightly lit). Contact Front of House staff for escort to/from your car.

 

Venue Features

  • Ground level, single-storey flat space
  • Large warehouse-style hall with high ceilings and wooden floor
  • Temporary stages have steps
  • Main hall can be very cold/hot
  • Office area has heating/cooling
  • Small kitchen accessed through two standard-width doors or one narrow doorway, with a standard-height bench.
  • Whiteboard at front of house for Deaf & hard of hearing patrons
 
 

Bathrooms

  • Three gender-neutral toilets
  • One large accessible toilet, extra wide doors, shower, towels on request
  • Baby change table (available with 7 days notice — please contact us ahead of your visit)
 
 

Chill Out Space

  • Small room with sofas behind higher stage
 
 

During Snuff Salooon Events

  • Several tables reserved with Accessible Seating signs
  • Ask our friendly Front Of House staff for more accessible seating on the night
  • Pre-show touch tours available for vision-impaired patrons – contact us to book

 

Sensory Information

  • Sound can be very loud during music acts
  • Lighting is generally low and changes throughout the night
