On Tuesday 1 August we will also take part in the Artali Festival in Ali Curung NT

“The Artali festival is an annual event celebrating the traditional culture of the four language groups living in Ali Curung:
Kaytetye, Allyawarr, Waramungu, Warlpiri.

It is a time when community members, services providers, stakeholders and visitors work together, share their skills and participate in the development and preservation of the Indigenous cultural heritage.

Arlpwe (pronounced Ahl-boa) sits on Kaytetye Country in Ali Curung, an Aboriginal community about 400km north of Alice Springs.  100% Aboriginal owned non-for-profit.

Ali Curung, or Alekarenge, means ‘belonging to the dog’ referring to the dog dreaming site that the town sits upon.” – arlpwe.com
