March 2022: Soo Dhawoow! The East African Women’s Foundation Youth Group’s People’s Puppet Project with Snuff Puppets was a huge success!
A giant puppet show based on a Somali folktale of Deghdeer was created over three months.
Deghdeer starred five new giant puppets, with bilingual storytelling and traditional songs performed by local Somali elders.

Deghdeer will be performed again at Brimbrank’s Be Bold festival, on 8th & 9th October 2022.
