Burke has created designs for the Melbourne International Arts Festival, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Melbourne Museum and the State of Design.

She’s also worked as a Creative Producer dreaming up events such as a 100 brides in paper wedding dresses on the steps of Parliament house, 30 designers creating furniture from junk on the Museum forecourt and Fashion shows on a floating clear catwalk with a suspended aerial rig over a suburban pool.

She has created puppets for her own productions, for her Day of the Dead Mariachi Puppet band and for both small and large scale productions such as ‘Barnum’ at the Comedy Theatre.

She has toured Australia and internationally as a puppeteer but the highlight of her career was being eaten by a giant monster and shat out as a baby monster in a Snuff Puppets production at Fed Square.

She has recently been swallowed up by the Drill Hall as a maker and designer and made herself at home in the beast.
