OLIVIA FLOATE (She/Her) ARTIST
Olivia is a puppeteer, puppet maker, and potter working under the name ‘sausage woman’. She joined Snuff Puppets through one of their People’s Puppetry Projects while a student in 2018, however always admired them from afar as she grew up locally to the Drill Hall. Since then she has received funding and residencies from Maribyrnong and Merri-bek city councils where she has her pottery studio.
As of 2024, she is working as a mentee under Snuff Puppets which will conclude with her first solo puppet work. Olivia holds degrees in Sculpture & Spatial Practice from Melbourne’s VCA and in Art History/Russian Studies from the University of Melbourne.
