The Skullies are the bones of the company. Created in 1991, each one has over 60 individually hand-carved bones stitched between 2 layers of cotton lycra. They exist in the space between life and death, between puppets and humans. They’ve been central to countless Snuff Puppet shows, often operating as silent MCs and stage managers, weaving together the different elements of our theatrical worlds.
Skullies represent the living dead and the murky void between life and death. Under everybody’s skin is bones.
